Five month old waking every three hours...

My beautiful five month old DD has slept really well since about 10 weeks old sleeping through on some occasions through the night when she was in her moses basket.

More recently she has been waking often in the night, last night every three hours. She has been in her cot in her own room for about three weeks. We give her a bottle and she takes a few ounces and she used to go off and we would put her back to sleep. Last night she was wide awake and there was no getting her to sleep.

I understand getting up in the night is part and parcel of having a baby and she really is so good and if this is the way she is then so be it. But I just wondered if anyone else has experienced anything similar and is there anything I should be doing better?

Weaning perhaps? Confused

There is a big sleep regression at 4 months - could she just be hitting it a bit late? Could be a growth spurt or teeth? I have a non-sleeping DS normally (ie every 3 hours we class as a great night!) but his sleep really goes to pot for the few nights before his teeth have come through.

Our 4 month sleep regression lasted over a month!! Think we're just coming out it now and DD us 6 mths next week!

Yes, agree it is totally normal and sounds like the 4 month sleep regression. Some of the tips here might help Smile.
