Son age 3.5 not dry at night

Hi, my son is 3.5 and has been toilet trained for about a year. However, he wets his pull up at night time about 50% of the time. He says that he does not know he is doing it. Should I be concerned that he's not dry at night yet? I'm guessing I shouldn't be but advice/reassurance would be much appreciated! Thanks

There is an organisation called eric which is a charity which helps with bed wetting. They may be able to help with queries you have. Smile

dd1 was about 4.11 before she had even one dry night nappy
by 5.1 she was reliable dry at night. it just happened.

My six year olds not dry at night. Chill.

DS1 was not dry at night till just before his 5th birthday. I think a lot of children are still in nappies at night when they are at school.

DS2 is 3 and not dry in the day yet though! LOL - wondering if I should panic or something Hmm

I'm not remotely worried about my 3.5 yo not being dry at night, because his 5.5yo big brother hasn't managed it yet either.

It's really not a problem, don't worry about it.

DD was fully toilet trained by day at 2.5 but not dry at night until just over 5. As someone said above, it is hormonal so there is no point using star charts for something they have no control over. You just have to wait until their body is ready. With DD it just suddenly happened one night, and that was that.

Apparently there is a strong genetic component so if you or your DH weren't dry at night until quite late, it is more likely that your DC will be the same.

Eddie, I think you are right to feel reassured but wonder from your OP if you have ever tried your DS without a pull ups at night? DS was dry during the day from 2.6 but I still used a nappy at night which was always wet through in the morning. After he turned 3, I decided with some trepidation, to leave the nappy off and he was fine - no wetting at all, so I think he must previously just have had a massive wee first thing in the morning.
