Ds1, almost 6, is pretty well behaved, good at school etc, but seems to admire the slightly cheeky, rebellious kids. Should this worry me,or is it just one of those things? I'm just hoping he won't be too influenced by them!

I think it's one of those things...have you encouraged him to play with the better behaved kids too? I used to invite the kids that I liked round for tea after school....I've never left a child out and always asked the little horrors too...that way I can at least spy on them as they play and see what the kid's about!

Yeah, he has got nice friends too, it's more things like group situations, where he definitely seems to look up to the ones that are playing up a bit!

DS (just 5) is the same. He loves being naughty with the naughty kids and I worry that he'll get a reputation. (Which sounds ridiculous when I see it written down. But even 5 year olds do have reputations. Sad) I invited one of the nicer, but still can be a bit cheeky, kids over and they got on really well. A teacher friend of mine said that it isn't until about year 2 that boys settle down in proper friendship groups, so I'm just hoping things will calm down a bit then.
