Where to get scissors for a 2 y.o.?

I want to get some scissors for my 2.4 y.o. to start having a go with. Where can I get some suitable ones? I looked in a stationery shop yesterday but I could only find children's left-handed ones. Confused

DS uses his left hand most of the time but does use his right too, so I'd like a pair which can be used with either hand.

Early learning Centre - or WH Smiths?

Ikea ones lovely if you happen to be passing!

Hmmm don't know about one pair for both hands but I went to get my DS some yesterday (he's 2.5) from ELC. They do a left handed pair and also a right handed pair with different ends you can put on to create different patterns when cutting (we got these ones!).

I'm not sure if they're recommended for under 3's but as long as you're supervising then as with most things, it's fine.

I've got the Ikea ones too

I got a set from Tescos that have plastic blades but still cut paper really well. There are interchangeable blades that slot onto the handles so you can make different patterns when you cut. I'm not sure if they're left/right interchangeable though, sorry.

I got the DCs proper sharp scissors to use under supervision, rather than children's ones. IME the children's ones are often so blunt as to be frustrating and pointless.

Oh, and on the left-handed/right-handed front embroidery or sewing scissors are for use with either hand and they actually cut, too.

Ah, I've got some of those plastic ones with interchangable blades - not sure if they're child sized, but I'll dig them out.

I have some embroidery ones too but they're wickedly sharp. I bet I can find some slightly less pointy ones though. Thanks.
