Can anyone recommend good book for bringing up 9 yr old DS?

DS is just turned 9 and is pushing all the boundaries he can atm. My oh and I find it hard to agree on how to handle him. Oh can be rather impatient and after asking once thinks we shld just be cross and raise our voice at him, where as I ask 2/3 times and then count down from 3 which usually works but takes a little longer Trouble is ds is very vocal and he answers back and can be rude and is an incessant moaner. As we can't agree I suggested that we get a book and try the recommendation of a professional (even tho I'm certain that my way is better!). I wld be very grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction, preferably written by someone with a few relevant letters after their name!

Yep, agree with TanteRose, would also add "Helping young children flourish" - "Helping young children flourish"

Thanks Tante and Maya, looking at ordering one or both tonight. The first one said suitable for up to 8 yrs so wasn't sure if it was going to be pitched at the right level or not, but there were others that also looked promising too. [Thanks]
