10mth baby sleeping problems advice needed

Hi,

my DD1 is 10 and half months old and has been always relatively good sleeper
but in the last two weeks she has started to wake up around 2am and then
stays awake until about 4am.. At first she is relatively calm, just sits up in her cotbed (and if I lay her down she gets up again) but after a while she starts getting more and more upset and cries and cries. She only calms down if I pick her up. She does look very tired too but as soon as she is about to fall asleep she perks up and wants to sit up again. If I leave her sitting up after a while she starts crying (she doesn't know how to lie down from sitting up) and eventually gets hysterical. Then finally around after two hours after much resisting she falls asleep (often I have to rock or few times I have given in and taken her to sleep next to me)
When she was younger I never had to pick her up and usually just giving her her the dummy would make her fall back asleep.

She still sleeps two naps a day and recently they both have been nearly two hours and I am now wondering whether she sleeps too much during the day and that is why she is up at night..?

Not really sure what to do, so any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

No advice on how to stop this I'm afraid but DD the same at that age.
It was knackering but she grew out of it in a few months.

Usually the better a child naps, the better they sleep at night, so I don't think it's too much daytime sleep.

You'll probably find its a phase and will stop as quickly as it began!
