Brushing my dd's teeth

My dd is 1 in 9 days... she has 11 teeth - 4 top front, 3 bottom front, 4 molars, one each side top and bottom. I have been trying to get her used to a tooth brush and brushing teeth during our bath and bed routine. Obviously at this age it is almost impossible as she wants to chew on the tooth brush, throw it around, clamps her mouth shut and some days quite likes it! Any tips on taking care of a soon to be toddler's teeth at this stage please?

I think a tiny bit of toothpase and chewing on the brush just now is adequate, get her to chew each tooth at at a time and make a game out of it through counting the teeth and then every time mummys turn and do as much as you can. that way she will hopefully get used to you having a go. my dd has always attempted first then mummy must finish off. i did not preasure her that young, when she was nearing 2 I would insist and if she did not let me then she would either loose playing her fave toy I often had a book ready as a reward she had a story and pl;ayed with book whilst I done her teeth.

Try brushing your own teeth at the same time. DS also hated having his teeth brushed, but we are winning the battle slowly. He likes to brush my teeth for me while I brush his now.
