my 10yr old son has started stealing money from home, already grounded him, found him doing it again today, at wits end, any advice please?

What does he want the money for?

I mean, does he get an allowance/pocket money? Is he spending it all on sweets/phone top ups?

I'm going to admit it, I did this at a similar age (particularly when I'd just started secondary school). It was down to low self esteem for me and trying to 'buy' affection. First from my Dad (stole to buy a 'big' birthday present) and then later from friends at school. It might be worth asking the question of why/what he's using the money for and really trying to find out if it's a self-esteem problem. I didn't do it for long and never got into trouble (thank goodness) but it was a problem for a while.
