DD has always been a very good eater but recently has started chewing her food and spitting it out. Big mouthfuls of chewed up food repeatedly. It's not that she doesn't like it as she will eat the majority of her meal.
It really pushes my buttons and gets me so annoyed... But I choose to ignore it.
Mainly because she does it and looks at me as though for a reaction.
She's too young to understand the naughty step but should I be telling her off and giving her a reaction or ignore it and hope she gets bored with it and eventually stops.
I don't want her to think its ok to do so not sure if ignoring is the best thing.
I'm confused as to how to deal with this sort of behaviour as she's never done anything like it before. The start of terrible 2's I assume!!!

They learn very early how to push buttons. She may be just doing it for a reaction or attention. My DS did this and he eats properly now. It's just something some kids do, but check it out with your HV if you're really concerned. Good luck Smile

Thanks chakotayblue. I'm not concerned there's a health issue, just wondering on the best way to deal with it.
How did you manage to get your son to stop doing it?
