Wet dreams - how early?

I've recently been finding little white stains on DS1s bed sheets. He is only just 5. Surely he is too young? But I can't think what else it could be.. He still wears a nappy at night (long story) but is finally beginning to wake up to pee in toilet or stay dry till morning.

I've never heard of a 5 year old having wet dreams. I have two teen sons and started getting stiff sheets around aged 12. Are you sure it's not dribble or pee?
The only other thing that springs to mind is possible thrush infection. Boys don't produce ejaculate until they hit puberty.

Thanks, I did wonder! I can remember my brothers were able to fiddle and get an erection well before puberty but I had no idea when any actual liquid could be produced.. It doesn't look like pee or dribble but I suppose it might be he is doing little sicks? Or has an infection.. Or maybe it is sweat? Very odd though because it is in several little patches rather than one bit patch.. Hmm I think I may have to get the doctor to check him over.. I'm really baffled!

White stains in various places are more likely to be marks left from dribbling, or possibly sweating - they definitely leave white tide marks.

Sounds like dribble to me. DS's bed is covered in the morning, he dribbles lots.

FashionEaster · 05/05/2012 20:28

Dribble, snot, sweat (especially if getting hot in a nappy)

ledkr · 05/05/2012 20:31

Yes its just dribble,if it is from his willy its only fluid not semen.

Sounds like snot to me
