He's a little dude, and properly eccentric. Fascinated by numbers and letters, says mummy, daddy, two and tea. Was very late pointing but does it a lot now-not great at following when I point, looks a bit baffled. Is it okay that he doesn't wave? Shows no inclination to at all...

My 16mo DS is similar - points all the time, but not really interested in waving (at least, not on demand). I'm always trying to encourage him to wave when he leaves somewhere but he just looks at me as if I'm being ridiculous! I think some children just aren't performers so perhaps it's that. If your DS is starting to communicate in other ways I wouldn't be concerned but keep trying to encourage him.

Mine is 20mo and has only just started and is also a bit slow, sometimes he starts when the person is already gone! I would not worry.
