Does my 4 month old sleep too much.....?

I know this is a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string question' but I often worry that my 4 month old sleeps too much?!? He sleeps about 6 hours straight through the night but during the day he seems to spend alot of time napping and being asleep. when he is awke hes very alert and aware.
Is a sleepy baby something to be concerned about...?! Sorry if this seems a toally stupid question.

Mine did as well at that age, enjoy it while it lasts...

I asked my GP about ds2 because he was always kipping and she just laughed at me! Enjoy while it lasts - it won't!

Some babies of this age are sleeping up to 16 hours in a 24 hour period. My boy used to last awake for a nappy change and then about 10-30 minutes before needing another nap!

Enjoy it!

Most babies only bother to wake for a feed or a poo at this age, (many don't even bother waking for the poo!)
