2 yr-old Lifting poo out of nappy

This is gross, I know, and I'm at my wits end. DD2 is lifting the poo out of her nappy and smearing it around the place. I spend mornings cleaning it off her face, walls , upholstery and it happens in the afternoon as well. I think she's doing it to get my attention as it seems to happen when I turn my back or go out to empty the dustbins for a few minutes. I make sure she has a clean nappy the minute before I have to go and do something but she seems to force it out. Has anyone been through this and handled it successfully?

Potty train?

tittytittyhanghang · 01/05/2012 13:25

Apparently me and my brother used to do this, and I can honestly say that I must have grown out of it at an early age as I can't remember doing it Grin

my boy is 2.5 and shows a lot of interest towards his poo (and his brother's too), he wants to touch it and see it. i don't think they feel that it's gross and so they think i might as well play with it :)
i think that she might be ready for potty training too and that's how she lets you know. i know my boy is it's just i've been pushing it as have had a ds2 and didn't want to do everything at the same time.
im sure she'll stop it once she gets onto the potty

I was thinking about the potty training but worried it might be worse! Don't they need to be saying this like, need a poo and you rush them to the loo? I must look into it.
Tittytittyhanghang... your poor parents Shock!

Firstly, lots of children do it...it's not 'dirty' to them.
Secondly, try potty training?
Thirdly, tight high-rise dungarees Smile

Yes, my mother delights in telling me how me and my brother would ahem draw on the walls with our poo. I cant remember so it never happened afaic :)
