Hi I have a 2yr old who is on the 98th centile in those fabulous red books. I wondered if anyone else was having problems with this. Everytime I look at a new pushchair (I have a 6month old too) It says upper weight limit 15kg, which No.1 son passed ages ago, and no.2 is going the same way!!
I even just looked at one of those buggypod things for those times when 2yr old is too tired to walk( he is only 2 after all) and annoyingly they are u to 15kg too!!!

Any suggestions and advice welcome.

Ps was reading the strand about being on the 9th centile - that was interesting too!

my ds1 is 35lb (maybe more now) and i use a buggy board occassionally. i didnt realise they had a weight limit. i also haev a mothercare dbl buggy (side by side) and he is fine in that.

I suggest you put away your red book and stop reading manufacturers instructions .

I honestly have no idea how much dd weighs, and neither do i have any idea how much weight her buggy is supposed to take.
Don't forget, manufacturers are always going to err on the side of caution when it comes to recommendations.

hi - yeh that's what i thought too No1son is 35lbs and No2 will be as heavy. It's just a bit frustrating that they grow out of equipment well before they stop needing them.

dd is 3 and on the 98th centile too
She still uses the pushchair if i need to...and she weighs more than 15kg (about 15 and a half i think). We have a bog standard maclaren...it seems to cope
She has stayed around this weight for ages (she wasn't far off at 2) so you may find that your lo will do the same.
