Is it worth seeing a chiropractor for reflux?

My DS is 3 months and had reflux. He's on Domperidone, gaviscon and ranitidine and I want to take him off them. They help so he isn't in pain but the more he puts on weight the harder it gets to control the dosage and stop the reflux.

Has anyone taken their reflux baby to see a chiro and if so did it help?

DS1 saw a chiropractor for constant coughs and ear infections and the results were fantastic. Obviously a different scenario but I did meet mums there who had had great results for reflux. It's definitely worth a try.

Good to know. Thanks

I spoke to a chiropractor on the advice of our hv who couldn't believe how bad Ds' reflux still was at 10mo (his problem was frequent vomiting rather than pain and the various meds we tried did nothing for him). The chiro told me that it wasn't worth trying at DS' age but it might have helped earlier on if his birth had left things out of kilter. That said, she was very clear that there was no guarantee that it would help at all. Might be worth you contacting one and having a chat before making an appointment.

I've made an appointment for a consultation. My friend took her baby to one at 4 wks so I might have left it a little too late now

If those drugs stop working and a chiropractor doesn't help ask for a medicine called Losec - it's the only thing that works with mine. Good luck.

Not heard of Losec. Thank you
