DS walks on the inside of his left foot. Is this normal?

He is 12 months old and not quite walking independently yet. But I've noticed over the last few weeks that his left foot bends inwards at his ankle joint when he walks, both barefoot and with shoes on. The outside of it doesn't touch the floor. It looks really uncomfortable even though he has never exhibited signs of it being so.

Will it correct itself if I leave it? Or would a check by a doctor/health visitor be a better idea?

I would take him to gp or hv. DD was born with positional talipes and her ankle did that and we were advised to make sure she wore shoes that supported her ankle ie lilttle ankle boots.
