what order did your lo's teeth come through

My DS is 6 months old. His bottom 2 came through when he was 5 months and today it seems that he has 4 top teeth coming through at once. I thought the bottom ones came through before the top ones??

my daughter had 12 teeth by 10 months. bottom two, top 4. Another bottom 2, then a gap on top bottom left and right then another tooth... she looks like mr Ed

BBB - Same with my dd, she's got four, bottom 2 first then top two and next 2 along are just hovering below the gumline.

my dd is 9 months and has had 6 teeth in the past 2 weeks or so. she went from none to top I tooth bottom tooth a bit along the bottom 2 1 at the top and then today think its another top I tooth

my ds cut his teeth in usual fashion-bottom two then top four together etc. Dd didn't cut any until she was 10 months. She cut the bottom two then she cut two top lateral incisors-the central ones are only now coming through-she looked sooo strange-like she had fangs!!!!

Can I ask is this teething:

Great sleeping babba, 7 months.

Last night: Put to bed at 8. Wake up at midnight screaming. Slight temp. Can't be consoled. Baby calpol and a few hours later she is sound asleep. (Was not screaming for the two hours, just moaning / playing / being grumpy).

Tonight was similar: Put to bed around 8. Wake up at 9 screaming. Not wind / heat / cold / nappy / food / drink, not 'ill' but has a slightly blocked nose. Can't be consoled. Baby calpol and 40 minutes later she goes down.

Other times / during the day she is sooo not a screamer.

Sometimes drooling and sometimes flushed cheeks, but not all day long IYSWIM.

Don't really want to use Calpol so regularly... we tried sucking some crushed fruit ice cubes the other day which seemed to help, but any other suggestions welcome !

try nurofen.. i know it's another med but really helps with pain and temperature... also herbal teething granules really calm them down!

put her down the end of the garden?

can you see anything in her mouth? we could see raised blistery looking things on ds's gums before his broke through... they often look very white where the tooth is comingt hrough

To be strictly accurate, the first night we used Moltrin drops, the US equivalent ibuprofen-based product. Did seem to do the trick. Tonight we tried calpol.

I've heard the herbal teething granules is a pile of pants. Would you disagree ? It's just sugar isn't it, plus miniscule (homeopathic dilution) of belladonna ? Are we talking about something else ?

Gums look, erm, 'cute' ! pink, raised, can't really see obvious white, but I understand they really get the pain as the tooth passes through the gum IYSWIM, the 'breaking through' is really the last step / relief...

Anyway, all is quiet upstairs now... and she ain't going down the bottom of the garden nor under the stairs you orrible laydees.

Mine probably just thinks she's getting food the greedy bugger, that's why she calms down.. Medised is like a tranquiliser... good in extreme cases

DS looked like dracula as his top 2 side teeth came through before the middle ones did He is now 2 and we are still waiting for the last 4 molars.
Calpol and Teether crystals are what we used and it did the trick. I soon as I think he's getting teeth I start with the teether (homeopathic) and apparently it numbs the gums - a friend of mine tried some!!!

hub2dee sounds very much like teething to me. alliep30 she is not weird - both mine had 12 teeth at that age and 16 teeth at 12/13 months. DD is 20 months and getting her "two year old molars". DS is 4 and the dentist was shocked when I told him that DS has two wobbly teeth but confirmed that it is indeed the case.

I think it is usual to get the bottom two, then the top two, then the other four front ones, then the premolars (thus leaving the gap that alliep mentions), then the canines and finally (with a break of several months) the back molars.

ds did the same as yours,BBB. I thought we were in for it when I saw all four coming in at once on top but he did really well. The only ones that seemed hard on him were his incisors.
