I can't remember how prominent the theme of pigs being food is... Not that I am trying to actively conceal the fact that they are, but think DD might find it a bit upsetting. I was thinking of watching it myself to check, but maybe that is PFBing too far. Can anyone remember? She keeps talking about wanting to watch the film about the pig who thinks he's a dog...

It might raise some difficult questions but that's life and you have to face them some day x

I think its a good age - my 2.5yo DTri's love Babe! IME they are too young to find things overly upsetting, think about any difficult questions, or 'read between the lines' of the film; but old enough to fall in love with Babe!

When reading or watching anything, she constantly asks me "what's he saying?" so I suppose I can just make something up... I think the novelty of the fact that the animals are talking will get her through most of it, TBH.

We tried to watch the Lion King but had to fast-forward through all the perilous bits (she did look a bit stunned when she accidentally saw a bit of fire/chasing) so it was only about 15 mins long in the end...
