5month old dd suddenly doesn't sleep

My dd turns 5 months tomorrow and was always an amazing sleeper. She would routinely do an hour and a half in the morning hours after waking at 8am and her big nap in the afternoon for about 2 hours or so and then another snooze late afternoon for another hour before bed some time between 7 and 8. Granted
She has never slept through the night but would only wake to be fed (twice) and then straight back to sleep. We are now on holiday and since we got here she will not sleep for longer than a 40m stretch in the day (often only 20mins) and is waking 3 times a night. She also wants feeding more frequently in the day but is feeding faster- sometimes for only 5 mins but I put this down to thirst as she is still entirely breast fed (and weighs in well at the 80th percentile). Any ideas why she is not loving her sleep?

holidays always played havoc with my children, being in different surroundings seemed to unsettle them a bit

she might well be having a growth spurt as well

Sleep regression, happens at around 5 months I recall and possible growth spurt. Happened with DS1 and is happening with DS2 at the moment. And we are off on holiday next week, oh no! If I find the links I'm looking for I will report back.
