Nighttime dryness

Hi there, my ds has been toilet trained for a whole year now in the daytime. He is 3 and a half. However, until now has still been in pull ups at night. For the last couple of months, we have had a lot of dry pull ups in the morning and for the last two weeks every one has been dry. So, last night I said he didn't need to wear a pull up so he was just in his pants. However, at 3am he had totally soaked his bed. We didn't make a fuss - changed it all and put him back to bed...but at 6am, he called out and said he was wet again. So do I go back to pull up tonight - or try him again tonight? Thing is I know he can hold it as he's been dry fpr the last two weeks every night so I can't understand why it was such a disaster last night? I'm not worried about him still being in a pull up as he's still quite young but would just appreciate some advice before I give up so soon. Thank you in advance.

Similar for us. We take DS to the loo just before we go to bed - anywhere between 10.30-1am. Just rouse him slightly and even though he's half asleep, we carry him and the very act of sitting him n the loo, sometimes me running the tap means he goes. Usually find he's OK then til morning, or anywhere from 6.30am onwards. I bought those Hippychick sheets and have that, and a normal sheet under, so if there are accidents, you only have to whip off 1 sheet IYSWIM. DS now 4 and we still take him before bed. I rmeember being very nervous about this, that he'd wake up fully and think it was morning, or that he'd never 'use' his own bladder, but it works well and we'll carry on.
Also, DS has last drink of any sort about 5.45pm.
HTH. Smile
