Two year old still having milk in a bottle. Any advice?

My (just) 2 year old still likes her milk in a bottle. I know official advice is that she should be on a beaker by now but I was loathe to move her when she was a year (like her brother was) because he dropped his milk soon after and I felt she needed the calories/nutrition.

She has other drinks in a beaker but insists milk is in a bottle. I've tried coaxing and suggesting "big girls have milk in a beaker" but to no avail.

Any suggestions or should I just ignore it on the premise she'll have stopped it by the time she leaves home?

Good point, Murtette, thanks. Operation Big Girl it is - do it all at once!

I think part of it is recognising that it's partly your own habit as well as the child's. Hence why I had to throw away the bottles to stop myself caving in.

My just 2 year old still has a bottle of milk in her cot before bed. I want to try and transition her away from the bottle can anyone possibly give me any advice on what they found best?

Some people say lower the milk and give her it in a sippy cup! Others have said just give her water in a sippy cup ?

Any advice would be very much appreciated

Try flavoured water? My little one has never took to water from when she was 5/6m weaning I instantly tried flavoured water and it’s literally all she drinks, finally managed to get her into orange/pineapple lol she doesn’t look impressed as always had F/water or Bcurrent. But if you slowly switch it up. Once they are older I kind of saw it as if she’s thirsty she will drink it… which she started to do so. I felt horrible knowing she wasn’t too keen on the orange but it’s only cause she’s not tried it before and I made the habit of bcurrent or f water all the time. Now she loves orange. I always chuck in that flavoured water though similar flavours to the dilute

Only thing I’m struggling with is fruit and veg if anyone has any ideas she has recently turned 2, the most I can get her to eat is mushy peas every other veg she spits out, fruit nope unless it’s the baby pure pouches!
