Biting toddler

Sure it's been asked before..

DC is 20months old and has recently taken to biting (or trying to). Normally through frustration I think.

What do I do? Ignore it? Shout? Bite back? DC's too young to understand me explaining that it's not acceptable..

I dont think you should ignore it. You should not bite back. You need to let your DC know that it is not acceptable through explaination. The more you explain it the beter the understanding.
My DD who is 21 months was showing similar behaviour last week (slapping on the face). I shouted at her a couple of times but it did not work beacuse she just laughs and continues to slap me. I just firmly expalin to her that it is wrong and not acceptable and she has not slapped me on the face for three days.
