My 12 day old just won't stop eating?!

Hi all

I'm a first time mum and also on my own, my 12 day old son is eating so much in the day time and I'm worried about over feeding? My mw said since his tummys only small he should only be taking 50ml a time, but he's just finished 2 90ml bottles in a row with no puking! I can't just ignore him if he's hungry?!

I'm no professional I don't think anyone will worry about a 12 day old eating too much. If he's keeping it down it can;t be too much imo.

My DS1 was the same and still is. 1yo, taller than me but really [skinny]

Don't worry its normal. As long as you are making the formula exactly to instructions (if you're using formula) you can't over feed as babies are very good self regulators.

Probably just a growth spurt.

If you were breastfeeding you'd have no idea how much he was taking and not be worried at all. You are only concerned because you can measure what he's taking.

If he is happy and healthy you should just let him take what he wants when he wants and try not to worry. He will regulate his intake to meet his own needs.

Try to relax a little more and enjoy this special time.
