Kids were a nightmare when out. Bickering and moaning and refusing to do as I asked, including running off in a car park. Now, all playing together in the garden.

yup. sounds about right Grin

IDontWantToBeFatAnymore · 02/04/2012 13:12

It is like a switch whereas I am left feeling shit that I shouted at them and useless that I couldn't make them do as I asked.

I love you Hecate Grin.

Um - and your point is? This is everyday life - for me at least. The 4-year-old is a particular PITA at the moment, never wants to go anywhere, acts up - especially if he has a friend or an audience to play to. I'm looking forward to him being a sulky teen who never leaves his room and grunts rather than talks Grin

They want me to play dodgeball with them. WIBU to throw it at them??

Disclaimer - is a very soft ball.

Get drunk.

MegBusset · 02/04/2012 13:21

Mine are the other way round. Good as gold out and about, and a frigging nightmare at home. We spend a LOT of time out of the house.

IDontWantToBeFatAnymore · 02/04/2012 13:21

I was tempted an hour ago to pour a drink Blush.

I love you too Grin

Congratulations. You have children.

It is their job to drive us nuts. Grin

I think they do some sort of training course in the womb. If we looked carefully at the placenta, it would probably still contain their course material.

My dad says our children are always retribution for what we put our own parents through Grin

WishingRLwouldFuckOff · 02/04/2012 13:39

Oh god I hope not Hecate. I am in for some serious shit later then Blush

JustHecate · 02/04/2012 13:41

yup. Them's the rules.

I am stockpiling wine and chocolate.

I am going to need it...

fhdl34 · 02/04/2012 13:45

That is how you play dodgeball, you're supposed to hit them with the ball

EndoplasmicReticulum · 02/04/2012 13:46

I think maybe it helps if you only take out one fewer than the number of children you usually have. Not sure what you're supposed to do with the other one.....I did threaten to leave one of mine behind this morning...

"I don't WANT to come out"

"Well I don't really want to take you, but you're only seven so I don't suppose I'm allowed to leave you behind....."

WishingRLwouldFuckOff · 02/04/2012 13:46

there isn't enough wine and chocolate

JustHecate · 02/04/2012 13:49

not now there isn't

it's all in my loft...

WishingRLwouldFuckOff · 02/04/2012 14:04

That's ok then hecate, I know where you live

JustHecate · 02/04/2012 14:10

Yes. I know you do.

In that tree at the back of your house, overlooking your bedroom window.

Bring me a cup of tea, there's a love.

WishingRLwouldFuckOff · 02/04/2012 14:16

Milk and sugar?

JustHecate · 02/04/2012 16:08

lovely. And can you bring me some of those biscuits you've got hidden in the back of the cupboard? Ta.

WishingRLwouldFuckOff · 02/04/2012 16:13

Would you not rather have the fresh baked brownies? I'll send ds he climbs trees better then me.

JustHecate · 02/04/2012 16:18
Grin
twolittlemonkeys · 02/04/2012 16:23

sounds like my two. They've been oscillating wildly between sweet and lovely and getting me to screaming point. First day of the holidays (which we've all been looking forward to) and already I can't wait for DS1 to go back to school! Confused

IDontWantToBeFatAnymore · 02/04/2012 17:07

Will read your posts in a minute.

Just got back from A & E and the dentist.

OP posts:
JustHecate · 02/04/2012 17:11
