Shrieking!!

Dd is 9 months and has just discovered the high pitch scream as a weapon!! Just wondered how long this phase is likely to last, even had the neighbour round yesterday afternoon to check all was ok!!!! Have tried shhing, ignoring and saying no, but nothing works!!!! Guess we just wait until she discovers something new to do!!

Doesn't usually last long. The best thing to do is just ignore it.

Depends on the child. Ds2 is nearly 16 mo and still does this. Not helped by his big brother encouraging him.

Oh no hope it doesn't last that long!!! Unfortunately she's a bit of an attention seeker and has found this to be the best way to get it, had to cut short my shopping trip yesterday it got so bad.
