DD1 has been toilet trained since she was 2, but recently we are lucky if she doesnt wet herself at some point during the day. She has been having accidents for the last 2 months or so. We have reverted back to a reward chart which worked a treat when toilet training her, but has now no effect.

Is it normal for a completely toilet trained child to revert back like this? She very rarely had accidents and the funny thing is that if we are out she can hold it in until we can get her to a toilet, but at home she wets herself. She never wets herself if we are out. Im just so frustrated with it. An accident here and there is fine, but its every day.

Could she be constipated? A friend's DD is being treated at the moment as a scan showed her bowel to be so impacted it was pressing on her bladder and causing her to be wet :-(.

Thanks for the idea. I dont think she is constipated as she has been regularly.

Is it just a recent thing? If so, she may have a UTI - more frequent accidents are a sign of it. Maybe get a urine test just in case.

My 4 yo dd also wets quite often mostly because she is too interested in what she's doing and can't be bothered to go to the toilet.
