a quick question about conjunctivitis

15 month old DS has slightly gunky green eyes...but no redness. When he previously had conjunctivitis, his eyes were very red.

Is this conjunctivitis?

Could be, could be a blOcked tear duct, could be snot rubbed in. Keep an eye on it and go to doctor if worried!

Both my dcs get really gunky eyes when they have a bad cold. I know it's not conjunctivitis because it clears up in a couple of days. It's quite difficult to persuade nursery though.

Why do they still insist on it being treated when most gps won't give you anything? Genuine question.
