When is a baby's eye colour fixed?

Just wonderering as my dd was born with dark blue eyes. Now at almost 11 weeks they seem to be turning slightly hazel, but I would have thought her eye colour would be fixed by now? Also, babies with brown eyes that were born with blue eyes, do they change overnight or gradually. Just curious...

my babies turned very gradually. They were born with very dark blue/brown eyes which went brown in the first few weeks, and have carried on getting darker. They are now 10 months and there eye colour and skin colour are still changing slightly.

No, dd's eye colour changed at about 14 months and it had already changed before then.

That's interesting kelly, I'll keep watching. I'm fascinated by how dd will turn out - I'm v. fair and my dh is fairly dark so I guess she's going his way

same here, I'm white, and pale, dp is indian, medium toned. The boys have changed a lot, going from light to more darker, and recently lighter again. I'm jsut waiting to see what it will settle down at!

Oh by the way, make sure you get soem piccies before they change! I wish I had pics of my babies with blue eyes, they were really dark and lovely.

My little one's eyes were blue for ages. At about 2.5 years or so they gradually changed to green.

my ds is 22months now with stricking blue eyes.....they were very green like mine at birth and gradullay changed to dark blue......then at 18 months i noticed they were going very light.....i hope they stay this color...so cute with his blonde hair!
