Baby still projectile vomiting after gastroenteritis, help needed re what food to give

Hi, first time poster so hope I'm in the right place...

DD is almost seven months old. Has had full on gastroenteritis twice for 7 days per episode over the last 4 weeks. In between had horrific constipation (high pitched screaming trying to pass rabbit droppings). After searching for advice on mumsnet we changed her over to SMA lactose free formula on Sunday which stopped the vomiting. Her diarrhoea then calmed down and yesterday we resumed weaning which has been put on hold since she's been ill.

Yesterday she had an organix pouch (leek, parsnip, peas and chicken) and also mashed butternut squash. She was cranky in the evening but kept it all down.

Today she had some more butternut squash, a cooked egg yolk (usually loves them with no problems), some Hipp tomato veg pot thing and then some cooked apple and pear.

She's just projectile vomited again a huge amount and I don't know what might have been the culprit.

Please can I have some advice about what to feed her?!!! We've been advised to avoid bananas and bread due to her constipation but I don't know what else to avoid until her system gets back to normal and when that might be. Also, how long should we keep her on the SMA before going back to normal formula? We've fed her what she has normally been fine on but now her system is more sensitive I feel like we're totally clueless and I'm worried that she's getting enough nutrition as it's been almost a month without proper food every day.

Thanks so much x

go back to basics!! make up something simple like potato and carrots and mayb an apple puree and stick with that for a week. she how she reacts to it and if it makes her ill, try a different veg, water helps with the constipation so make sure she has plenty of drinks too! just take it slowly as u would at the beginning of weaning. im afraid i dnt know much about the milk but mayb try it after she has become accustomed to her food again! the milk and fluids is more important though than food, my kiddies always had just babymilk when they were ill! good luck! :)

Thank you! She's been brighter this evening after she up-chucked it all so I'll simplify everything tomorrow.
