4 yr old complaining of sore penis

Not sure if this should Be in health or here. Ds (4) has been complaining of a sore willy. I ve had a look and it s a bit red at the tip. When I rolled the foreskin back there was a but if fluid under (urine ?? Or infection??) the fluid smelt
Strongly.
I put sudocreme on it but intermittently the last few days he s saying its sore.
Anyone any experience of this?
I ve told him to shake dry and pat with toilet paper after weeing.

I'd take him to the GP, it sounds like an infection. Teach him to clean gently under the foreskin.

My DS had this when small - we were told to use Golden Eye Ointment (which had an antibiotic in it) and it worked like a charm! Don't know what the current advice is.

Sounds like an infection under the foreskin my son had the same when he was a similar age, antibiotics soon cleared it up.

You have just described balanitis. Itis treated with an hydrocortisone cream, but you should probably take him to the docs.

Thanks - we re away for the weekend took him to lovely local gp who said yes small infection and gave Ointment
She mentioned the foreskin was tight abd we should prob get gp to check it when we get home

Definitely Balanitis, my ds had it when he was about 18 months and the doc gave me some cream and within about two days it had cleared up. It's v v common.

My 4 year old son has been complaining that his willy is hurting all day today. It a little bit swollen, it not red and there is no discharge at the tip of his willy. Does anybody know what this could be?

Probably balanitis as above. Bathe it in warm salty water, try to get him to clean under his foreskin if it's comfortable to do so and see gp on monday.may need an antifungal cream
