Hi, my daughter was 2 at Christmas...and I have just put her into a bed - she has been in it for 4 nights now....is there any special procedure I should go through when changing from cot to bed?? She has been waking up a few times so I have to go in, she never used to...she is still in a sleeping bag....any suggestions!!

I would say when she wakes up, don't give her too much attention, try not to even look her in the eye, just put her straight back into bed with a quick 'shh, it's night-time now, sleep tight'... and make a big fuss about grown up beds during the day, you could try making going to bed more fun too - we've started saying 'night night mummy, daddy, sissy, fish on the wall, bathroom, Theo's reflection in the hall mirror...' etc and he walks himself up to bed holding blanket and teddy feeling very proud of himself!

She will get used to it whether you do anything special or not, just make sure you don't let her into your room at night or in the early morning...
