Sticker Phobia

Does anyone else have a child who is afraid of stickers? My DS has always been scared of them, she's 6 now and I thought she was getting over it but she'd just come downstairs after a somewhat incoherent sticker-based nightmare and is now sleeping in our bed!

It is very inconvenient for a small child to be afraid of stickers as well-meaning people keep trying to stick them on you.

Well what a bleddy awkward phobia! Poor thing! I was and still am horribly phobic about a certain thing commonly used to light cigarettes (not lighters) but I wont write it down as even thinking of it upsets me.

I can only suggest that as it has gone on for so long and stickers are such a common thing to encounter, you might thikn about getting her some therapy...these things can be cured very quickly now....it would be good if one day she can cope....it was and still is a massive pain to get so affected by something which most people don't even think about.

omg i hate stickers! I thought I was the only one! they make me feel physically sick especially when they start to roll up at the side and get dirty. I cannot bear them on my skin, and seeing someone else with them on their skin makes my toes curl!

I don't think i was scared when I was a child though, but I didn't particularly like them. Sorry, no suggestions though.

I have it too! Still do :( They make me feel really 'yukky'...can't explain it better than that.
