Very clingy 15mo.

I am a SAHM so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. My 15 mo DD is so clingy, I literally can't get anything done without her wanting to be picked up, she will follow me everywhere and cry at my feet until I pick her up, which I inevitably do for a quiet life.

She will hardly ever play with her toys on her own and would rather sit on my lap and play, I am the centre of everything.

I have two older DSs who are close in age, at one point I had a baby and an 18 mo but I don't remember them being so clingy or intensive. She is very sweet natured but some days I am just praying for bed time, she even cries when she is with DH and I leave the room.

Oh you are me! I have a 13m old who follows me round sobbing if he's not picked up and cuddled, and I have two older ones who are 17.5m apart, and I don't remember them being like that.

DS cries when I leave the room or put him down.

Recently he's got a bit better when I've made sure he's had a cuddle after a sleep, been fed and watered (!) and then put down to play, but I have to wait for him to waddle off and play, (rather than being able to put him down and walk off myself). Still not great, but better.

It's not forever. DS was like that but after 18 months chilled a lot. I found what helped was giving him little jobs to do alongside me "good job lil smeared for putting the washing in the basket, shall we go hang it up" it is hard work though, but it's not forever.

Btw I work full time - it is just a phase, but it helps them stop fiddling with the fire extinguisher in public places Grin
