My 19 m old still not walking

My 19m old toddler has never made an attempt to walk alone- i have mentioned this to doctor & she said if she's not walking by 2 then to come back as she may be a late walker. She is reluctant to stand alone but she does do it on occasion & has an onbsession with walking on her knees. Has anyone else has a child that has walked very late?- my other 3 children walked by 12/14 months

My DD walked late, 21-22 months. She's 3.5 now and walks as well as her friends, but can't run or jump yet.

I remember feelining like you, but am now just trying to go with the flow a bit, as I can't make her progress any faster!

My dd was 21 months before she walked. Before that she would just crawl and wouldn't even stand when held. Not sure why. She did walk in the end though as I'm sure your lo will. Some just do things in a different order to others.

My DD was crawling at 13 months, cruising at 14 months and knee walking at 15 months. She would walk holding my finger but as soon as she let go, down onto her knees. Very frustrating as nothing physically wrong.

On Thursday, I was kneeling next to my mum when DD went past us saying 'I'm walking' We both glanced at her an carried on conversation, then realised she was in middle of room. Mouth to floor. hasn't stopped since. She's 22 months.

Thanku everyone its nice to know other peeps have had late walkers too and now i know she'l do it eventually in her own time. So much milestones info from HVs can make me worry sumtimes
