hi people
I have been a single parent for almost three years, however my partner has been in my life and my sons life for the last two. My little boy is 5 1/2.
My sons behaviour changes when i am around, becoming cheeky, going against my partner, clingy to me etc. Just plain horrid to him.
When my partner has my little boy on his own he is a different child, loving, nice and just normal really.
Just to clarify he is the same when my mums around, however when i'm not there he is an angel and very loving towards her.
How can i ensure he gets over this behaviour? I realise he wants me to himself but am at a loss at how to explain things to him. I have tried saying that I love them both and he is very special to me even though my partner is in our life but to no avail.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
