My dd and her friend are driving me nuts. Separately they are lovely, together they are scratching, pushing, teasing and hitting each other and so over-competitive it's ridiculous, then they play nicely all of a sudden. Any tips on curbing this behaviour before they hurt each other or we can't let them play together much longer.

My DTDs will be 4 next week and they have been knocking lumps out of each other lately. What I do is to try to intervene, explain what is wrong with their behaviour and have some time out. If possible I will then do an activity with them til they start being nice to each other.

This is does not apply when trying to cook dinner and juggling hot pans etc. On these occasions a good loud bellow with a threat of early to bed usually works Grin
