does DC2 (15 months) sound on track developmentally?
quick background to my question: DC1 is disabled (severely autistic), so I don't have any experience of what is 'normal'. don't want to talk to HV/GP as wa let badly down with DC1.
so DC2 is doing the following:
- walking
- pointing & communication his needs really well
- says about 8 words ( is this too little?)
- underrstand simple instructions such as " get a nappy", " give daddy a kiss", " clap your hands" etc
- self feeds and can eat with spoon and fork ( though very messy)
- only starting to pretend play ( such as feeding a dolly)
- will answer siimple yes/no questions (eg. do you want an apple. or do you want more?) with "yes" and "no"
- can point to a couple of body parts (but wont point to pictures in books)?
- awful tantrums if he does not get his way but otherwise a happy little chap.
sounds ok for 15 months? sorry, I really lost my feel for the normal since autism took over my life. so any responses would be much appriciated!
