Teething? Or something else?

I'm a first time mummy, so looking to all of you who have been here before. My DS is 17 weeks and I think he may be teething. He has very rosy cheeks - the left more than the right - and he's not the happy little chap I know. I've checked his temperature and it's fine. He is sleepier today as well. Do you think it's teething? If so, how long did your little ones take between starting to teethe and actually cutting teeth? Thank you xx

It sounds like it could be teething. Just keep an eye on his temp. Can't remember how long it took for teeth to come through but dd didn't get a tooth until she was 8 months.

It could be teething, but it could also be anything. At about 16 weeks DS and all his friends started with the red cheeks and drooling thing. Very few of them had any sign of actual teeth before they turned 6 months, and DS didn't cut a tooth until he was 9 months.

The teeth do a lot of moving inside the head before they poke through. It's a long ride!

Lol I know this isn't helpful in any way but I think you'll find this exact same post comes up about once a month.

I think you find the problem is that you have a baby.
