ds is 21months...and a well behaved boy...(majority of the time)....but i dont know wether to take his pushchair...i have never been to a christening so i have no idea how long it goes on for.....i have put some bits in his bag to keep him quiet (cross fingers)....pushchair or no pushchair?!?!

Take the pushchair deffo

Filyjonk · 29/01/2006 09:02

Yes, they'd rather have a quiet ds with his pushchair surely. Can't see anyone would care tbh! (christenings do tend to be about kids, after all!). You can always leave it in the lobby, surely?

Try to get an aisle seat so that one of you can walk out / stand at the back if necessary.

How did the christening go.

(imagine me, the palest of creatures in the middle of an african-american church service)

it was veryyyyyyyyyyyyyy long and not my sort of thing.....i knew it wouldnt be, but it was family.
i didnt know they done 5 other christenings at the same time! 2 hours later ....................................

ds was very good concidering that it went on past lunch time....he really tried to join in with the hyms 'rahhhhhh rahhhhhhhhh rahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh' cue mum laughing

'do you reject satan' rahhhhhhhhhhh (yep he actually said that!)

the rest of the day went fab, lots of food and drink!! had to go out and get ds something to eat from the shops tho as the hostess only served up rice and chilli chicken.....

but overrall, it was a lovely day....but once in a life time experiance!

We went to a similarly long one recently, but luckily they organise a childrens creche half-way through. Otherwise ds would have gone mad having to stay still!
