Costume jewellry earrings, whisks, wooden spoons, nappies, hairbrushes, plastic bowls, empty shampoo bottles - whatever you want and can think of!

Mine contains wooden egg, scoop, wheel, metal bowl, whisk, spomge, loofah, knitted fabric, silk, plug on chain, lentils in jar, shiny jar lid, scrubbing brush, shell, ribbon, soapstone napkin ring, small felt cushion, spoon, dish, body puff thing, erm not sure what else!

Not sure if should be different for 2yo tho, I gave mine to them when little. Still looked at but much less often now.

Mine has feathers, bottle brush, corks, bicycle bell, shoe horn, bath sponge, a jug, plug on a chain, wooden spoon, bean bag....and a few other things.

My other half got the basket from this site:
www.thetreasurebasket.co.uk
With the basket you get a booklet with lists of objects that are good to go in a treasure basket, the general idea is anything made from natural materials.

Or just type treasure basket/box into google, there are lots of sites with ideas out there.

fir cones
old necklaces
yoghurt pots
big envelopes that you can put things into
post it notes (tis too funny to find a baby covered in post it notes)

I nag ask visitors to raid their cupboards before coming over to add variety although we've had some strange offerings (like the length of rope Hmm)
