vomiting and coughing after MMR?

My son (12 months) had his MMR jab last tuesday and over the last 48 hours has started vomiting and coughing. The night before last (when it started) he had a high fever but he's now just a little warm (plus the sick etc).

Anyone know whether it's likely to be related to the jabs? Please don't tell me I shouldn't have given it to him - too late for that advice...

I certainly won't tell you that you shouldn't have given it to him.
That would be a fairly delayed reaction to the jab and it sounds rather extreme.
Most children, if they react at all, only get a mild fever within a day or so.
Is it not more likely that he's genuinely sick?

Thanks, just put him in the bath and realised hes got a faint measles rash too, so inclined to think they might be connected after all?

Friend of mine had this with her son. He had a temp, off colour, and measles rash for few days. She did take him to GP, but it was really a case of calpol and cuddles.

Thanks, that's what I'm administering at the moment! Will continue...

My DD had a fever and was sick about 5 days after her jabs, but was fine the next day.

The nurse told me that this might happen, also that is could be up to a week after and also getting a rash is normal.
