Only sleeps 1 and a half hours at night!

My 11 week old son will only sleep for 1 and a half hours at night which means I am of course, exhausted. I thought it would sort itslf out as he got older and even switched to hungry baby formula from breast which upset me but I felt I couldn't carry on the way I was. Now I've switched to bottle, nothing's changed and I just don't know how to fix it. He only sleeps 3 hours a day so I don't think that's the problem.

That is not much sleep for an 11 week old each day. Where does baby sleep?

BagofHolly · 18/02/2012 16:52

That sounds v odd. Is he crying a lot of just happily awake?

Same thing going on in our house although DD is only 5 weeks. Completely exhausting, and you've been doing it far longer than I!

Have you tried cranial osteopathy and are they just awake or screaming with exhaustion?

If he is seriously 11 weeks old and only sleeping 4.5 hours in any 24, that is way too little for his age. When he is awake, is he happy or unhappy?

Do you mean in one and a half hour chunks?
