Hi , I am new to mumsnet but not new to being a mother , have one of 23 years, one 20 year old and two little ones 3 1/2 and 1 1/12 , so why am I having problems with getting my 3 1/2 year old dry ??? he can use potty/toilet if he wants he was pretty good but then it all went to pot, we went through a stage where he just didn't bother what so ever with even trying and then we seem to be back on track, but it changes daily, he might be really good one day and the next we are wet wet wet, have tried allsorts , any ideas ?? I am thinking about a trip to the doctors but don't really know what I think that would achieve ? he doesn't have a water infection but seems some days he is constantly wet .

Hello there, I had this with my DS at about the same age. It was pure laziness with him. He didn't want to tear himself away from the activityhe was doing to trek upstairs to the loo. It was so frustrating and in the end we resorted to bribery. Everytime he did a wee on the potty he was allowed a chocolate button. This was the only thing that worked. Have you tried reward charts etc?
