Hello,

I am a undergraduate student currently doing my dissertation, I am investigating whether the watershed is playing a role in today's world. In particular I am looking at how parents feel or act towards the watershed.

I am writing to ask if you could help me, it would be appreciated if you could give your opinion on the watershed. Do you think about it when your children watch television? or is it something that you are preparing for?, does it play a role in your parenting? or do you think the internet made the watershed obscelete?.

Any opinions on one or all the pooints mentioned above are welcome aswell as any feelings you may have. Your identities and opinions will be kept confidential. They will be used in the final copy of the dissertation but once it is completed the responses will be deleted. Only me, my supervisor and the marker wil read them in the work.

Thank you for helping me :)

What's the title and subject?

The title is " can you 'police' the watershed" for PR course

How is that relevant to PR? (Said she nosily). Have you considered parental control over viewing of taped programmes? Video games and other rated media?

Could be 'why police the watershed?' but then that's getting into psychological effects of media on children.

I find the watershed helpful. Dcs have quite strict rules about how they use the internet, but when if you flick through TV channels you could easily come across inappropriate scenes. We have a rule of no television after supper unless you have parental permission and the whole family agrees.

btw- do be careful about your spelling when you submit. Don't know about other tutors, but I would knock marks off for failure to spell "obsolete".
