Milk for 22 month old

Hi,

I have a 22 month old LO and we recently stopped giving him milk in a bottle (there was a delay as he loved his bottle bless him!!). We are now using beakers with spouts (as the dentist advised they are much better for his teeth) but he really doesn't want to drink any milk anymore. This has been that case for the last two weeks despite trying different beakers etc.

I was just wondering how much milk a toddler needs on a daily basis- as he eats yoghurt and has milk with his cereal everyday.

Many thanks

So long as he gets calcium rich foods, he doesn't need dairy at all.

If you would like him to have milk, would he have it warm? Ds1 only liked it warm from a meaker till he was nearly 3!

Have you tried an open cup rather than a beaker with a spout? My DS1 refused any kind of sippy cup and went straight to a proper cup.

Agree that if he is eating cheese / yoghurt etc it isn't a problem.

Yes, calcium is the key thing. There's some more detailed info on this thread that might help.

Is it straight from the fridge?
