A bit of a silly question!!

Hi everyone, my dd is 8 months and absolutley refuses to keep her legs inside her cosy toes!! i know it sounds trivial but it is absolutly freezing round here and dd catches cold so easily. i have tried wrapping her legs in a blanket but she manages to get out of that and i get horrible looks from people thinking i haven't kept her warm enough. She does the same thing at night which really surprises me because when she was a baby she would not sleep unless she was swaddled and now she cannot stand being covered up. Any suggestions???

i could do but dont you think at 8 months ahe might look silly! I love all her gorgeous coats but even while i am typing i feel silly saying that!!!

What about some thick woolly tights?

Could you persuade her to go in a sleeping bag at night? My dd is still in one at 15 months and I'm planning to buy the next size up, cos she loves it.

As for in the pushchair - can't think of anything very clever - we've got one of those 'duvet' like attachments to the pushchair and it zips up around my dd - so there's no getting out of it! Would it be worth investing in something like that. Not sure what a cosy toes is or how tightly it does up round the baby.

Definitely worth ignoring other people though - funny how they always think they know best!

What about wearing sweatpants (terribly trendy ones of course!) over her clothes that are a size or two too big? My dd hates being bundled up in the cold, and more so at night. She always kicks covers off and ends up with nothing except her fleecy pj's. - doesn't seem to bother her or make her more suseptible to colds, etc. Good luck!

Jenny I would definitely put her in a snowsuit. You can get some lovely ones in the shops and at 8 months all my dd's were still in them at winter time.

my ds3 is in a snow suit(8 months)

bargain at the nct sale - its blue check and (whispers) he sometime s goes to school with his jamas on underneath)

heres a cute bear suit....

jennyjen I bought a lovely little suit from jojomamanppoopoo or whatever its called. A fleece coat with hood and bootleg fleece trousers cut big to go over other trousers. It's here , pixie hoodn jackets and bootleg trousers. She looks very cute in it.
