DS is 21wo, he has started thrashing about during his feeds at night, and making noises while he sucks like he wants milk to come faster... is this all typical in the run up to weaning? I would like to get him into the cot, he goes in the cot for the first part of the evening, but come about 11pm when I try to creep into bed he always wakes up
like he has sensed that I'm trying to relax without him....so I can't tell if he would do better in his cot !
Anyway I only introduced bottles a few weeks ago, and I wonder if I've brought this nighttime pain on myself - he has about 4 or 5 5oz bottles per day, plus a bit of "snacky" breast feeding thru the day. I am pretty fed up with bfing TBH, and pretty hacked off that I struggled to 20 weeks and then DS took to bottles without a backwards glance - but he is much happier for longer periods now, and sleeps a bit better during the day, so I am grateful for that... Just wonder if I've ramped up bottles too quickly (responding to his demand tho!) and given up on my boobs... I hoped that I'd be able to continue night feeding without too many issues. Do you think I need to give him a bottle at night? I am pretty fed up with co-sleeping as I seem to be half awake every night between 3 and 5am. But I don't wake up sufficiently to think, ah yes I'll sit up and have a proper look at how he's feeding... I just spend the whole time swapping boobs and praying he'll fall asleep.
Sorry for waffle, can anyone help?
