Wet patch on matress

This has been happening for a little while. Some days worse than others. When my wife gets up in the morning and gets skyke out the if cot, there is a wet patch on the matress where her bum rests. The strange thing is, her clothes are not wet, its just the matress sheet and sometimes the sleeping bag.

Its not wee. The only thing i can think of is the matress protecter having a bit of condensation. Has anyone else seen this before? She is 5 months.

Thought you were talking about your wife at first! Is it not just dribble and she has moved around?

No, its my daughter :) The wet patch is about the size of a small plate. Some days its worse than others. Like i said, her clothes are completly dry, but sometimes her sleeping bag will be a bit wet or damp. We have a plastic protecter on the matress. The only thing i can think of is the body heat from her bum area is making the wet patch because the heat cant escape because of the matress protecter.

Im scratching my head on this one :(

Could it be that she moves around in her sleep and its a sweat patch from her head!. My two both got this as babies they were like waterbottles to sleep beside and had sweaty heads!.

It might be that the clothes are dry next to her because the heat of her body has dried them (and also the sleeping bag will have wicked moisture away from the body). The likeliest culprit is a leaking nappy - have you tried changing your brand? They often have different fits.
