I really hope someone can help me. My DD has always screamed in the bath and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I've tried distractions, toys, just putting a bit of water in, having her in the bath with me but no matter what I try as soon as she's sat in water she screams. She's fine being hand washed with a flannel. Anyone advice very gratefully received.

Do you always do it at the same time I.e evening when she could be tired?
Have you tried bathing her in the morning?

Poor you, and poor DD. If she really hates it, wouldn't it be easier just to wash her with a flannel? Will she come into the shower with you? My DS used to like to be held in the shower - DP would pass him in to me and stand by with a towel to take him out after he was rinsed off.

If she's fine being washed with a flannel, I would just do that, really. And maybe do lots of watery play and games? It's a phase that'll pass.

We have the opposite problem - DS (11 months) hates it when his bath ends - he really does scream blue murder when we take him out, and cries so much that he goes red and loses his breath. It's horrible.

My DD used to. Then I decided to get her in with me. She loved it and now can't get enough!
