Cruising and walking

How old was your little one when they started to pull themselves up on furniture and cruise?
My little boy just turned 9 months and has started doing it.
What age did they start going from crushing to walking?

I know all babies are different and develop when they are ready, I just wondering what others are experiencing and have experienced.

My ds was 11 mo and is now 14mo. He still isn't walking unaided, though has started to stand unaided this week for a few seconds. He is very cautious in general so despite speedy cruising and his wooden trolley not ready to go it alone yet.
So 3 months, which i think seems a long time, but guess he'll do it when he is ready.

I think it was 9 months cruising and 12 months before walking without holding onto anything or letting go for short periods of time between furniture Smile

IWillOnlyEatBeans · 02/02/2012 21:35

Cruising at around 15 months, walking unaided but wobbly at 17 months.

IWillOnlyEatBeans · 02/02/2012 21:35

Oh, he never pulled himself up on furniture. I had to watch how other toddlers stood up and then teach DS step-by-step! Not a natural mover...

RubyrooUK · 02/02/2012 21:50

Cruised at 9mo, took a couple of steps at 11mo but never more without falling on his face, then suddenly stood up at 13mo, walked across the kitchen and walked everywhere from then on as if he had never crawled...!

KittyBump · 02/02/2012 21:51

Around 9 months for cruising then 11/12 months for walking unaided. She is 13 months now and trying to run which is terrifying!

StetsonsAreCool · 02/02/2012 21:55

About 8 months for pulling up/cruising, zooming around with the vtech pushalong walker torture machine at 9mo, a few unaided steps from 11mo, walking well by 13 months. She's 20mo now and on her way to giving up the buggy too.

my baby started pulling herself up at 8 months and now she is 9 months she pulls herself up and walks along holding on. She can walk along with you holding both her hands.
Not sure what age my first dd did this, but she was walking holding on for what seemed like ages, and then walked on her own at just over 1 yr.

walking at 9 and a bit months wass crawling and pulling up and holding up on furniture at 5.5 to 6.5mths,standing unaided at 7mths...an early one...now full on walknf, running and dancing at 11mths.looks funny becasue shes still so tiny! Not so funny i am forever chasing her about...exhausting!! i was expecting all this from 12mths plus!

smoggii · 03/02/2012 20:42

10 months cruising, 12 months walking very wobbly 13 months now and good at walking by herself, still bump bums every few minutes though

Hulababy · 03/02/2012 20:44

DD cruised using furniture or our hands at 5 months, walked at 10 months. When she walked properly she became very competent very very quickly.
